"Formed after a chance meeting while on tour in their previous bands, Pete (Liam Frost and The Slowdown Family) and Becki (The Pipettes) have spent the last year travelling between Brighton and Manchester writing demos and becoming connoisseurs of fine curry. After Pete finally coerced Becki into relocating to his spare room in Manchester, Christian (The Earlies) offered them studio time shortly before joining them as a permanent member. Only bass and guitar were needed to complete the as yet titled band, wherein entered Sam (Alfie) and Paul (Star-Crossed Lovers/Nomad Jones), leaving Projectionists line-up complete. Taking elements from each member's former band, Projectionists' sound reflects their love of classic pop songs: interesting arrangements, and catchy hooks".
